Don’t mind us for carping on about this one, but it’s a bit of a whopper.
We’re delighted to kick off a new partnership with JBD Events – a company that specialise in putting together blockbuster sports and entertainment events around the world – by leading the PR for the Target Darts Sports Stars Fishing Championship.
It’s a prestigious gig. The Target Darts Sports Stars Fishing Championship is the UK’s biggest annual charity fishing event that brings together some of the biggest names in sport to compete in a singles and team event all for the name of wonderful charities like Bob Wilson’s Willow Foundation and The Ricky Hatton Foundation. This event, the fourteenth, will raise a minimum of £40,000 to support the vital work of these charities and several others.
So what’s it all about?
The fun of fishing! Leading the charge is darts world number one Luke Littler, and he’ll be joined by legends like Barry Hearn, Tony Bellew and David Seaman.
The Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship – the UK’s largest and most prestigious annual charity fishing event – will see 32 sporting icons and guests split into eight teams of four as they compete to be crowned singles and team champions.
Previous competitors include Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn, PDC World Champion Phil Taylor, boxing champs Kell Brook and George Groves, snooker icons Steve Davis OBE and Mark Williams MBE, football legends David Seaman and Jimmy Bullard and rugby hero Ellis Genge, so you can expect some giant names looking to weigh-in some whoppers.
The event is private and taking place on Tuesday 28th July at Tunnel Barn Fishery. You can watch it on ITV a few weeks later.
