Our client 10bet operates in multiple markets, including South Africa. The betting brand recently acquired the naming rights to Ellis Park Stadium in a five-year deal.
As part of the rebrand, the iconic venue will now be known as 10bet Ellis Park.
The partnership marks the beginning of an exciting era for one of the world’s most recognisable sporting landmarks and its new global partner and brought together two brands with a shared passion for sport, community and memorable fan experiences who are committed to celebrating the energy, unity and pride that live sport inspires.
A big deal for 10bet
Ellis Park is the iconic home of rugby union in South Africa and was the venue where the Springboks were first crowned Rugby World Champions in 1995 – a monumental moment in the history of South African sport and something that help unite the country after years of apartheid.
The venue is also the home to the Lions, who 10bet have also sponsored as part of this groundbreaking partnership.
Volume Communications was charged with running the news generation for the partnership, while also securing top tier interview opportunities within South African business and news publications for Michelle Colborne, Marketing VP at 10bet Africa.
Despite being based out of London, we understand what media want regardless of the territory and we set to work on making sure that 10bet’s partnership made a splash.
We secured 95 articles within South African news, sports and industry (betting & gaming) media, while we also secured hero feature interviews with Michelle in South Africa’s most influential news sites, including The Herald and Business Day.
We’re proud of the results that we generated in South African and to continue and expand our partnership with 10bet.
